ADSL INSTALLED

At last, it took 11 months but I now have my ADSL line installed... thanks Telkom, the wait was worth it.

ADSL - Monday 06 November

Telkom phoned to let me know that they will be installing my ADSL line on Monday 06 November 2006... Thank you Telkom! It'll be appreciated.

Now my committment to serious blogging has to start.

Telkom have still not given me my ASDL line. It's been about 4 months and I'm getting a bit annoyed at how useless they are. Phoning them doesn't help. You wait for hours and don't get an answer. Emailing is just as bad. My email should have been forwarded to the correct division, instead it was sent back to me. I wish there was an alternative to Telkom...

Telkom in a 2nd world country

Telkom have advised me, after holding on forever and being moved from one department to another that the exchange for Mondeor will only be upgraded at the end of March. I'll then have to wait another 3-4 weeks for my ADSL line. Not quite 3rd world.

I've signed up with telkom for an ADSL connection. I have every intention of getting a decent practical and useful blog going... WATCH THIS SPACE...

I haven't posted a blog for quite awhile as I spent so much time every night and weekend preparing a post. For all my effort, I didn't even get one comment. No one I called on afterwards said anything... I hope they didn't feel too embarassed for me. Anyway, I've decided to give it another go. I won't be posting every day as before but I'll try 2 or 3 per week. I'll be experimenting with the format and style and who knows, I might just discover the right combination. My original intention was not to use this blog as a direct advertising tool, rather an information site, giving useful links and information found on the web. I suppose one section showing stock-just-in wouldn't be too bad.
